When one of them barricades off an area to try and get deep then you know that you have a good chance of better quality in that zone. Ask the Gemfields ex-geos where they got their hints from. There is no cutting through virgin bush, there is always a track. Already was so when the General invited us to tour it in 2009 prior to asking for investment partners.
The point being is that the low cost mining model that sustains a commercial mining operation will count any high quality stones as bonus, rather than committing costs to the expected high return stones. Like any investor, I look forward to seeing bonus profits from pockets of these stones at low recovery cost. I look forward to a complete sorting operation that is able to make parcels up that are worthy of taking to market. I look forward to an indigenized operation where the remaining expat numbers are low. I look forward to a large scale local buying operation where stones can be bought in quantity without the mining overhead, and I look forward to a flex mining system which can downscale when street stones are in enough quantity to impact the new agreements. I think I will never see an announcement with words like average inventory valuation without a supplementary chart of actual breakdown.
I expect that BO will be seen in Bangkok and Hong Kong in February and explain the expected new models to the industry financiers. Certainly it will be interesting to compare the Greenland strategy and trade packages they are putting together.
