I am starting to think with the hinted timelines in this announcement (my emphasis, bold):
"A contract termination payment of $150,000 is payable in event the Board terminate employment because it has been unsuccessful in a funding proposal at a time no later than 31 January 2023 and will also be payable if the Company terminates employment before the employment commencement date."
That there may be a CR coming our way. The last SPP to retail was 19 Nov 21, and the last CR was $100mil on 9 Dec 2021. I think the rules were for ONE SPP to retail annually? And something along the lines of >15%. I don't have the qualifiers memorised but will do some digging over the weekend, but somehow this appears to me as the boards fallback plan if they cannot secure funding.
@fooca, tagging you to fact check me and to see if you know the qualifiers before I dig up the ASX rules.
