G8 (GEM) has never been in great shape. I purchased shares at $5.08 years ago, & sold them many years ago at $3.50 for a loss because I could not see the future in them due to the government intervention in new childcare policies. I made a loss, but better than what they are worth at $0.84 now.
I believe Mark was not at the helm of G8 in those years, and they were also battling new policies that were impossible to meet. However, I'm no expert in childcare & education I admit.
But Mark's previous background at PWC and others may bring another level of assurance & expertise to GMG, even if only as a Director.
Time will tell.
I'm positive about the internal promotions, and fresh ideas within the group.
