Well, I haven't watched anything on 9 for years. He can't be worse than the last boss as aiming for the lowest common denominator is a recipe for failure.

Hmm, I think the last time I watched 9 was back in the 'Hey Hey' era.

Some suggestions:

1) A dedicated sci-fi channel.
2) Reward viewers with flat screen TVs via daily trivia contests.
3) Have a conservative show that mocks the idiot left, to counter the vile ABC.
4) Create a natural therapies show, because we're not trusting of big pharma anymore.
5) Less talent shows and more adventure shows. There's a Korean show where ordinary people are taken all over the globe each episode, to live among other people and do other things- it's very addictive viewing if the people chosen are ordinary, in fact the more ordinary the more watchable each episode is.
6) Bring back a Money type show but aim it at women and do preserving and small biz ideas. That makes it accessible to ordinary people whereas Paul Clitheroe's show was about investing, and the poor don't often have money left over.
7) Have a Content Creation show and the contestants compete to make the best content per episode.
