APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
THUNDELARRA

Thundelarra Exploration Ltd (ASX: THX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tony
Lofthouse as Chief Executive Officer with effect from the beginning of April 2012.
Mr Lofthouse is a geologist with 34 years’ experience in the resources sector, working for companies
ranging in size from small cap explorers to global corporates.
His expertise spans field geology and financial services. For the past 29 years he has worked both in
the equities markets as a mining research analyst specialising in the exploration and early producer
segment; and also in the debt markets as a project financier and as a corporate banker servicing the
financing, hedging and day-to-day transactional banking needs of Australian resource companies of
all sizes. He has also served as a non-executive director of an ASX-listed explorer.
This wide-ranging experience, gained over a successful three decade long career spanning several
share market cycles, gives Mr Lofthouse insight into all aspects of exploration and project
development. His understanding of the project evaluation and credit assessment process undertaken
by the global resource banks will add significant value to the strategies for progressing the company's
project pipeline.
Mr Lofthouse oversaw the provision of finance and hedging facilities for the development of the
Maldon and Fosterville Gold Mines in Victoria; the Mount Cuthbert copper mine in Queensland; the
Hillgrove antimony-gold mine in NSW; and the expansions at the Girilambone copper mine in NSW.
He also oversaw the acquisition and re-financing of the Renison Bell tin mine in Tasmania.
Thundelarra’s Chairman Mr Mal Randall said that “Thundelarra has built a substantial portfolio of very
advanced Copper and Uranium projects in the last few years and will be in very capable hands with
the appointment of Tony as CEO. Tony’s experience in both the technical and financial areas of the
resource sector will complement the skills profile of the Thundelarra board”.
Mr Randall also expressed the Board’s satisfaction at attracting a candidate of Mr Lofthouse’s calibre
and experience.
