Personally I would have thought deals in the lithium space would be picking back on after a dark 2019 on a macro level.
At present places like Norway want all cars sold by 2025 to be electric and there are signs from existing car manufacturers that they are pushing towards some sort of electrification across all their models by 2025. Even opposition in Australia is talking some sort of EV policy
Car sales have also been reported to be building for EVs despite falling total car sales
but Car sales in general out the other day from the majors were significantly better than estimated.
PLS has appointed Macquarie to look at a string of resent offers to invest in some description so there is definitely interest at the big end of town for companies with proven big resources. The sector doesn't seem to be a dead as some would believe imo
In terms of SDV, I still think a deal gets done, either a sale outright or a JV. If its a sale they will be holding mega cash and can concentrate on MT C and the be able to develop James Bay.
Maybe the company should appoint someone like Mac Bank as they have proven themselves whereas their current advisory seems to have not had any luck in bringing forth a deal which the Board would entertain.
Time will tell
I take solace again from the incoming CEO, MT C is a profitable operation, something so many seem to think is false as they don't seem to want to look at the financial accounts.
Galaxy has an established and profitable operation at Mt Catlin and an excellent balance sheet with no debt and cash of almost A$400m providing a strong platform as it enters a major growth phase
Good luck, SDV announcement will come at some stage
