I've been torn from the start with the imyc work. I can only go by what i have read but for some time now it has appeared major breakthroughs in cancer treatment of all types are being made with immunotherapy (if that is correct spelling). The science of manipulating the immune system and or taking out our own immune cells and turbo charging them or somehow destroying cancer cells ability to hide seems to be the way ahead. Im not sure if there is so.e cancer that will only be treated by myc inhibition but hard to believe.

On the one hand I was frustrated with the cash sunk into imyc when immunotherapy seems to have the breakthroughs already in human trials, yet since we went down that track it would be good to have some data that might at least attract interest.
So far it seems imyc or omomyc has still gone no further than mouse models or being injected directly into tumors. I see the Pont that this could have benefits if all else fails but still if immune system can be made to detect and destroy cancer cells them imyc may be a waste of time. Personally i would prefer some method that courses through the body and seeks out the faulty cells and attacks them. Metastasis seems to be the major problem with cancer and unless the treatment is dynamic it will only be temporary.

Therefore hard as it is stepping back and trying to monetize the fpp platform in light of what peptidream has been able to achieve at least financially, makes the most sense. It is a shame they put the cash they did into imyc but as others have mentioned, it did serve as a demonstration of the cell penetrating ability of pyc as dr Soucek' research had been well received and respected yet it was understood by many the limitation was omomyc had no way to enter cells outside of her original genetically engineered mouse models.
