    News recently stated production for the 2026 CLA was expected to commence April 2025 but has been delayed to August 2025 due to software issues.

    IMO the original timeline made sense for our first CR in 2024 with options to be exercised by May 2025 (for bonus options to apply). Design Freeze would apply to the whole vehicle, components and software end of 2024 with full production commencing April , the options would have provided more working capital for increase in Anteo X requirements. However thinking about the next urgent CR , was ADO aware design freeze would be delayed due to factors outside ADO's control? Therefore not public information (CIC) and could not be published to SH for ADO? Urgent funds required, Anteo X orders delayed and options may not be exercised in time?

    Therefore my summation (and speculation) of this is we are still very much in the mix with MB and its upcoming design freeze (DF).

    I work in projects and DF will not be done for batteries in isolation as this will be a milestone for the whole phase and hence the whole vehicle. As soon as the software is sorted out (System and user acceptance tested) I expect DF will be announced.
