“Mine builders - not study managers” Pensana has appointed specialist mine developer Paradigm Project Management as its owner's representative for its Longonjo NdPr Project in Angola. Paradigm is an African-based project management group with a highly successful track record of delivery of sub-Saharan African mining projects. Paradigm Director Jeremy Clarke commented: “Longonjo is an exciting project and fits well with our approach to move directly from PFS to FEED which significantly reduces the time and costs associated with reaching positive cash flow.” Paradigm adds Afri-centric engineering capacity to deliver the Front End Engineering Design and will work alongside the rare earth processing expertise in the Wood group and specialist testwork laboratories ALS Metallurgy. Ore reserve and mining consultants SRK Consulting is preparing an upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate due in September and Snowden is undertaking open pit mine optimisation, design and cost studies as part of the Bankable Feasibility Study due mid October.
