Based on what RWD has announced their process is applicable to all the WA SOP projects, WA/global solar salt projects (processing the bitterns/waste) and any global desalination plant (waste brine). They are seeking investment from the Middle East. Extracting minerals from desalination waste is a subject of interest in the Middle East.
The process works using brine from RWD's own WA lake.
Regarding Beyondie, the RWD process has a far simpler flow sheet. The basic process reacts gypsum with brine so the expensive Wirtgen harvesters would be redundant. The flotation tanks would be scrap.
They claim all components are "off the shelf" so some of the Beyondie plant could be used. Obviously the ponds, all the brine harvesting infrastructure and all other associated infrastructure would be used.
The market is waiting on the scoping study, to be released soon.
