Galaxy invested in A40 for long term exposure to the resource at what it believes was a reasonable price.
If GXY loses the value of its original investment while gaining greater control of the resource through its acquisition of the secured debt than it is still a positive end result.
Taking over the debt was the best option available of protecting GXYs exposure to the asset.
