    It depends a bit on how quickly the administration process happens. If it's concluded before the end of the financial year then it could be written off as a full loss, effectively with no residual value.
    If the administration process takes longer you might not be able to claim the loss yet, or there might be a determination made that you can still claim the loss as value is unlikely to be returned.
    These things are not straight forward... it sound like the administrators are going to try to sell off the trading businesses and this may or may not pay off the company's debts or have something leftover for investors (usually not).

    Anyway, that's my understanding (this is not advice and it's way to early to know for sure!)
