Bessel, yes they can start by taking a substantial hit on their remuneration and get with the real world. Now regarding why I am still invested. Fist of all that is my business and not yours. Also, HC is a forum where any body can comment on the performance of a stock, whether good or bad. You are entitled to your opinion that all is looking rosy for the future. You are entitled to your opinion that the board of directors are the best and deserve their out of proportion to performance renumerations.
I, however disagree on real both counts. The future is pie in the sky at the moment because if it was convincing , the market would have reacted and the SP would have risen accordingly. To be content with the current SP and to flatter the board with their ‘just’ high salaries is in my opinion quite alarming. I reside in the the real world. You maybe able to see into the future but I do not have that ability.
Oh, and by the way, what do you think the market thinks of the board’s deal recently. Look at the SP. That’s what the market thinks. Not one individual.
