There is a company in Hong Kong called ACE Grandsun use for the hearing side of things, that developed the hearing algorithm in 2014, and its patented ( and solid hence why Grandsun use it) Costs are $110,000 usd one off fee for developing a bespoke solution inc NRE fees, app fees, programing, set up etc etc - depending on the sales volume - clip fees range from 0.5 usd a clip to 3.5 usd a clip. They are not tied to any one chipset manufacturer, so you can bespoke build as you want from scratch.

These costs are over and above the 300K USD Grandsun fee.
