They know there is not much money in the pot for a $1mill plus wage.

They are here to challenge themselves to build a company from nothing, to one where they will be paid for their efforts via their eventual shares.

Their reputations will also be enhanced if they can be successful in turning AAO into a mid cap company. This will be their driving force, not to suck out of the company a few dollars as a paltry salary.
