A 5 year period of exercise at yesterday close price is very very low when you give away 20+m. I'm in the executive headhunting industry and I can assure you this is very generous. Every cent the stock rises under his control is worth $230k to him. He looks a good hire, not disputing that. His base looks reasonable. But those options and performance shares make this a very attractive role for him. They should have been 30c+ as a minimum with that amount and time frame. Or alternatively less 22.5% Oppies and far more performance vesting Oppies.
I doubt any of you will be happy if Brn is worth 30c in 5 years. But the new CEO will have close to 2m of stock gained for free.
