a very generous package given the multiples Jon compares neu with. Was it 11 employees? Take out Jon, that leaves 1.8m for 10, or 180k/employee. If we talk some of the multiples people on here talk, then these employees will do extremely well. I'm all for incentives and believe in them, from the thread, it seems these numbers/rewards pass the pub test.
The thing that occurred to me is that the employees/company would potentially be motivated not to complete any takeover until the 1st and 3rd milestone are complete, so this seems to lock in no takeover for 6+months at least? Maybe there is something in the fine print such that in the event of a takeover all options vest and so the company would still be motivated to do a deal, perhaps worth clarification.
I also would have liked to see a milestone tied to market cap.
