I think they are trying to mine for shareholders rather than metals. 'Battery metals' are very topical and will attract a new group of fools. The current fools have been fooled several times too many, and growing suspicious.
Even the phrase 'battery metals' suggests a marketing strategy. Normally miners talk about specific metals. Just like they don't refer to gold as 'jewellery metals'.
