If they want money they have to apply first to the company that they think owes them the money - Morilla SA. If Morilla SA cannot pay then they can apply to have it wound up and the assets sold to pay the creditor. But I imagine they daren't do that least they get thrown in prison by a pissed off Major in the Junta. So they've come after us. But you can't just skip over insolvency because you feel like it... Morilla IS worth more than the amount they are claiming with the PoG as it is.
(It's true I'm not an insolvency expert in the Malian legal system - which does have some weird twists and turns judging by the process so far)
Personally I think this arbitration case won't make it past the first hurdle. And our legal case gets even bloody stronger when someone else owns Morilla SA
Though I do conceed the UN's focus on assisting poorer countries in trade disputes and the make-up of the panel does concern me somewhat.
