Zijin was always fishing in trouble waters, but they probably didnt expect the new DRC govt to not support their corrupt business strategy going forward (no more brown bags accepted).
Now they clearly don’t have the backing from the mining minister and desperately hoping ICC to bail them out. Maybe they just want to get their $33M back and leave for good.
If Zijin is found the main guilty party with this case then I really hope DRC govt sends out a strong message to all the corrupt businesses by revoking all existing Zijin mining licenses in DRC.
Hopefully next week brings us more clarity and good news for AVZ. GLTAH!
