I am not convinced personally that WPL will do anything. They have promised to cut their CAPEX and their shareholders would not be happy to have to a) pay for FAR and b) pay extra for SNE in this current climate.
Not only that, i am convinced Peter Coleman has his head screwed on and he will wait. My scenario that I see happening is this.
WPL will not bid for FAR, hell they won't even offer scrip. They will wait. FAR has to pay $500M in development costs. In 2 years (supposedly) and just before first oil, FAR will be heavily in debt, have no cash at hand, looking to raise again and the share price I strongly suspect will be at best 2cps. That is when I feel the low ball takeover offer will come. When FAR is at its weakest. Let's face it, another 2 years of the incompetence we have seen to date, will have shareholders jumping for any offer.
