To offer a differing view... I would argue AAU is showing more professionalism and honesty that most of the micro caps I watch/follow/hold.
Could have easily tried to hide the delay in a quarterly, or worse.. hide it in today's announcement, instead, just doing what needs to be done.
Glad they raised now, very negative if they had tried to raise over the Dec/Jan period (which, ironically, might see Gold push higher), but... the broker community etc basically close shop and go on holiday's. They obviously have no say in the legal proceedings and undoubtedly the Dom Gov don't actually want a settlement.

Makes sense they are talking to major companies. Likely only get small change from them (perhaps allow them to take a small stake in one of the assets or a royalty, but... if it tides them over until the legal fight is over, all the better.

I can understand many are frustrated, but... seriously, take a look across the sector. Many do far less than AAU.

Anyway, after being here... hmm.. 20 years or so, I guess it's the same arbitrary decision, hold or sell.
