The point that stands out to me on this announcement is this -

15nm thick = approx 100 atoms
This is already a very specialised capability. Archer working at the edges of nano and into atomic scales with all their fabrication.
Will the path to commercialisation change ? Develop the lithography, achieve it, license it out ? Rather than wait to develop the bio applications as well? From the wording of announcement , there are many potential ways to use this tech as bio sensors.
