I had a second less rushed read of this announcement. Here's what I missed.
The spin coherence lifetime can now be much more precisely measured. Which then allows AXE to evaluate with more confidence what kinds of applications can be matched to the carbon films.
In addition to large spin coherence times of electrons on the dot, large spin density has been observed. Spin density is the probability of spins being in one direction as opposed to another. This is a readout which has been observed to give large densities and therefore more certainty of the readout.
So yes, these milestones have given more certainty to both the control of electrons (observed coulomb effect) as well as the read out (large spin density).
Now all we need is a CEO to say these things.
In the shorter term the 12CQ seems to be leaping ahead of the biochip.
