Agree with those comments - DFS just admitting reality and a 10% rise in labour costs is pretty unremarkable, compared to the 20-30% rise in labour costs in WA. Cost of shipping will be the other big issue but thats something that everyone will see going forward if they go the bulk shipping route.
Your comments about the packaging sizing options is more related to the local market I assume, reverse flotation to bump up the grade. Then its all a trade-off between bulk handling logistics vs smaller packaging/value adding stuff.
Just what to the logistics look like for this? From what I could tell the current logistics look like triple road train to Duchess, rail to Townsville in full height containers and rotating containers to unload and then shiploading at port of Townsville onto ship? If they are going to package for the local market I am assuming there is no point packaging up anywhere remote, its all about logistics anyway whether bulk commodity or packaged product for domestic consumption.
