if investors were willing to invest $239M in SRX the new mine would be fully funded and mining costs would drop to $500 odd per tonne v todays $1200 p.t.

Imagine if SRX was a non producing exploration company. It would probably have a higher value than it does now even though it is already in production and has more than $100M in asset value (all of it in liquid assets)

that either says something about the stock market or the government of Sierra Leone

Excellent analysis. True sometimes an explorer has bigger value than a tangible assets producer which is insane.
