yes thats correct, a deferment of the rent is the most likely option for some of their smaller not for profit tenants. Govt will step in to support the sector as its a big contributor to GDP. The bigger tenants will continue to pay. the market is indiscriminately selling these REITs thinking the corona pandemic will continue endlessly. The shutdown coming is only for a few weeks, not years c'mon. The same fear is self evident in the woolies' customers stockpiling 20 year stockpiles of loo paper and dried pasta.
