It's called ambit claims, just like NXE's ridiculous counter claim
Chuck in the highest amount you can possibly claim, go through some legal argy bargy, negotiate a position and all sides can claim a win because of a perceived compromise.
I know Davisite has suggested Arena may want to extract their pound of flesh because of these dealings, however I think Arena will be more pragmatic and be happy with getting P&I back and see the back of this mob
NXE acknowledged this amount owed at initial response to demand and to think they would have a legitimate argument to not have to pay anything back is fairy land stuff.
At least that's what I think, but I guess funny things can happen in the legal field
