I imagine heating needs to be applied at probably step 5 out of a 10 step process and the entire process has been fine tuned and not to be messed with. Under the circumstances, you cant really heat 1kg at step 5 and add again manually at step 6 etc.
In my mind, this was probably a case of whether we screw up all the work over the last month just to produce 1kg BG, or we do the right thing and have lots of BG in about a week (I am guessing).
