I disagree on some points as it's not so black and white, the short pay-back period has some added value as well as potential future earnings, existing capital (ponds etc.), AGY could also up the ownership to >90% with additional funds put forward. I also haven't looked into taxes, or if we are carrying forward previous losses so we may not have to pay 30% on first year of profits.
Also imo OPEX funding is not a factor short-term due to current cash balance and stockpiles of processed brine.
Have they announced it would take 2-3 years to build the plant? Seems a bit long, if permits and funding come through surely it can be done 12-18 months.
