RIO's Rincon resource alone is about 5.8 Mt. AGY's is 686k. So why on earth would RIO need to buy unprocessed brine from AGY, considering they have almost nine times as much of the stuff just at Rincon, let alone elsewhere in Argentina following their recent acquisition? More importantly, when tenements can be secured in the area for free (see AGY's last tenement acquisitions), why would they bother would with AGY?
RIO have already shown their hand, and it's what everyone already knew. They like scale. They're a global mining behemoth who went after the largest target they could, and they got it (Arcadium). Given the low grades at Rincon, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see RIO put it on the back-burner while they focus on higher-grade brines at Hombre Muerto and Olaroz.
The "neurology" dream is dead.
