Unfortunately I can only speculate because of missing knowledge. Somehow I think its effect is neutral or positive.

Neutral opinion - SMM and MC probably have their own lending base margin + certain period interest average. Im sure total lending interest from JC through different institutions exceeds BoJ interest rate. The question right now for me is does it raise cost for us as well on additional margin or JC see KNPL enough as low risk investment and it doesnt affect us.

Positive opinion - because of rate hike, AUD lost some ground against JPY and that makes investing into Australia favorable. With high tensions in global economy favours more AUD weakness, but JPY is under risk as any other currency. I think by the time FID is made, JPY has gain some groung against AUD and we dont see JPY purchasing power at recent lows any time soon.
