there was always going to be a divestment between alpha and Georgina. the product mixes are too different. one is ready to be developed, the other is pure exploration.

but after the complications associated with alpha (and the extreme product mix of geothermal and cannel coal) I was hoping it was going to be alpha that got shed. previous management comments supported this idea.

but alas here we are.

Georgina is gone. the receiving side are unlikely to reject the deal, and there is nothing inherently "wrong" with greenvale becoming an exclusively, ugh, green bitumen company. it seems some among the top 20 are particularly enthusiastic for the idea. and they'll argue grv still retains upside exposure to any discoveries in Georgina without having to manage it. the deal is unlikely to die. unlikely but not impossible I guess.

ARO meanwhile now has biddle and leibowitz (notably Boys isn't there). and also have lithium exploration exposure.

Vince fayad was in GRV management when biddle and co arrived onto the scene and took the company from 2c to 60c (then the sh*tshow that followed). and now it looks like biddle is joining Vince again in a company worth Buckley's (GRV two year ago).

history may not repeat itself. but then again it might.
