My biggest takeaway from the ARENA report regarding geothermal- 'In Australia, the outlook for the technology for electricity generation is muted.'

The company will have to work really hard to convince investors on the merits of geothermal exploration when other players in Australia have abandoned it in favour of other renewable options.

Geothermal energy is a compelling idea at face value so I'm open to being convinced, but thus far they have presented no evidence that they will perform any better than those who have gone before them and failed. Perhaps the weeks and months ahead will bring some clarity.
