re the Philippine roads - aren’t they in the Volcano/earthquake zone?
I’ve be in earthquakes where the bitumen road rippled & waved with the tremor then just returns to normal. I can’t imagine concrete doing that, very interesting but they must have a good reasons & engineering if they are doing it everywhere.
A by-product of the quartz to Silicon process called Silica Fume is made/sold by Simcoa in WA and is used as a strengthen agent for concrete.... lol
