From my limited understanding, they have leveraged iluka's previous data and have proposed a cyclical review period of up to 5 years (i think) moving forward to test and adjust. this is to say, somewhere in the doco submitted to the EPA they have offered to essentially maintain continuous monitoring and reporting program to ensure that VDT meets expectations and is modified as required... this is in parrallel to mining activities.

however that was the point raised by the flower poeple who wanted a "die back study"....
