I'd be interested to know how much money they think is in mobile gaming tournaments. Currently, the only game worth being a part of in esports with serious money behind it is DOTA and that's on PC. It goes without saying it's sponsored by major tech companies in the world (NVIDIA etc). I haven't heard of any substantial money flowing through mobile esport tournaments. Be interesting to see none the less.
However in the announcement, the way they worded their entry into the esport market, they state their 3.6million users give them a competitive advantage... am I wrong in saying those users are there for football, not esports, seeing as though they only introduced the esports after they got 3+million users downloading their app for the football niche.
Not suggesting not to diversify, but we haven't heard anything in relation to their bread-and-butter. Last was an exclusive partnership with Ellevate Football back in Feb. Perhaps the quarterly will shine some light into the revenue generated by this deal, which by the sounds of it should be quite substantial.
