As Cymon said, the ann clearly states that we are eligible if we participate in the right issues. Best of all, this is to target small investors. We all know that all the big guys having large holding of AIO shares like UBS, CBA, BTT, MR etc... All of them are only eligible for a maximum of $10,000 that they would never to bother with.
The SPP was devised to compensate to small investors. I would say thank to AIO's board for this decision (but never appreciate that they decided to raise huge equity in the last minute - also awful MR's play).
