Now how are they going to power the smelters? My research has found that the existing power station on West Timor has only a capacity of 30Mw. And this has great difficulty to supplying only part of West Timor.

The furnaces according to the announcement will be operating in Jan 2016. If the furnaces are going to come on line in January 2016, they will need power during the commissioning phase and on a project like this is would take at least 2 months to commission the furnaces. So the power station is going to be on line in November 2015.

It is now nearly June 2015, where are the plans and approvals for the power stations to be built? The announcement does not provide details of the company constructing the power stations. If GMC had a company already in line to build the power stations, they would have announced it. From no design, no approvals to fully constructed in 6 months.

And only 6 months. West Timor is very slow in providing approvals.

And has been discussed by others the power station needs to be in the order 100Mw for each furnace.

So who is going to build the power stations and how much will they charge for the power.
