Dear Dummagete, you do unfortunately seem to be obsessed with rather negative, sounding conspiracy theories. We believe in investing, just looking at the fundamentals and facts is more telling and useful.
We have done this with IND ourselves and are very bullish on the company.
In our view, the management in IND are not the charlatans you imply, but successful and wealthy businessmen who all operate other successful businesses and hold their shares for the long term, and in Jeff Sweet, IND's new MD they are the only one of the ASX listed silica companies run by someone whose family has been in the business for decades. This is why IND hasn't appeared to have made some of the greenhorn mistakes the others have like taking their plots on crown land where environmental permitting is almost impossible to get and severely limiting to work under (see VRX PEC SUV APS)- they have been years trying and getting nowhere. Or maybe going to cape flattery expecting Mitsubishi to let them use their port facilities there which of course as direct competitors they won't (see DRX, MLM CRB) Now they need huge and difficult-to-get CAPEX in this market to build their own ports and beneficiation plants.
This is why we believe IND - with its simple strategy and high-quality sand - will be the first ASX silica sand co to start shipping glass-making quality silica sand to China - which is becoming an increasingly profitable business each year. Our local research shows that since river sand dredging in China is being forcibly reduced the glass shortage is already acute and only getting worse and as such and the price of silica sand is going much higher over the next 2-5 years.IND are saying they don't expect to even need any CAPEX as they plan to use only subcontractors to dig wash and transport store and load the Sand - such As Qube WA
I also think you are being unfair to Phuketman and the committee of the 10 bag club. We first joined the club out of interest to try to find some more information or ideas and we have found them to provide well-researched alternative ideas and discussions about them amongst well-informed HIgh-level international members from around the world.
The club usually base their calls on a 24-36 month view based on the fundamentals. They almost always suggest to their members to not rush in and to try to collect slowly lower doen. We are HK-based and, for example, we recently just doubled our money on Esprit Holding (HK 330) where the clubs HK researcher called the exact turnaround bottom in that long-suffering stock with deep research as to why.
Based on that we started buying into IND as their current no 1potential Disallowed stock pick for the next 24 months. And you can't fairly accuse them of "pumping" IND - as they have been calling it as a potential ten bag since before its IPO last August 2021 suggesting members just slowly accumulate on weakness. Also, the deep-dive research they have produced over the last 8 months has been excellent including videos from site visits, talks to the Management, and the farmers, studies of their sand, interviews with the Geraldton Port manager and sub-contractors, employees and potential buyers in Asia.
We have just looked at your HVY call and find it interesting and will do more research on it. The port Gregory site seems ok but we are concerned with the Mozambique asset given the al-Shabaab war in the north of the country and general corruption we have found there in another investment
The reason we like the IND story is its simplicity. I'm not sure I should do this here maybe their info is private, but ill screenshot some research about IND from the club's researchers who went down to Perth stockyard and Geraldton and the southwest sites and ports - Below is their summary of why they recently called IND as their best potential call over the next 24 months
Then another member posted this chart which sums up their members combined research in chart form - be aware this is his and their personal views and reserch - as he states and not official facts from the company
In addition, below is some research from the IMARC research group in Asia, showing how big the glass shortage in Asia already is and the huge and growing market opportunity waiting for the first silica sand player to start shipping from Australia (as they will catch and tie in all the port space and the buyers early. Its a sticky business as the glass foundry owners here in South China cant shut down their foundries so will iterate them to fix the characteristics of whoever is able to give them the supply and they don't like to change So if, as we and the club researchers expect IND is the first to get going they could dominate this big and growing market?
Below I shall post a very telling chart from the company's recent presentation deck showing how only IND has got all their sites on Private farmer's lands where there are not difficult water usage problems and the most onerous government-imposed rules on and native vegetation protection including mapping and replacement rules, or prohibitions on work if Carnaby birds nest within a Kilometer etc, or worst the strict limitations of only three months work a year due to the potential spread of the nasty Dieback root disease which only affects native veg in SW WA but not, for example, the hardy and tasty Tagasette trees imported from the Canary Islands in Spain by farmers for fodder and shade like on IND's stockyard farm project. See the site map below.- this is the beef.
Dumaguete I think if you looked at this sort of research instead of babbling on about "pumping" and "Pattaya and ladyboys" you may find IND is quite an attractive buy at these levels -and if you supplied more info and research about HVY Like I am doing maybe more people would buy it.
Caveat: I rarely write on hot copper but as I am long Ind as are some of my clients I have gone to this bother to break down the silly conspiratorial nonsense you are choosing to spread about a company we are invested in without (we believe) even taking the time to learn the first thing about it or its market or potential.
Excuse me Dumaguete but I am British so call me old-fashioned, but to me, It's Not Ok to just blatantly bad-mouth companies or people without knowing what you're talking actually about.
PS: maybe if you want some good research done on HVY you should join the ten-bag club and introduce it as a potential ten-bag idea like other members do. From my experience the committee who run the club like to see and consider new ideas from members as do their many members. - that's what its about.
Thankyou Dumagute and Im sorry if I sound rather offended by your comments - it's because I am. As for any other readers, Please DYOR as this is all in my own opinion. But if you want to research the growing glass and silca sand shortage in the world I add some pointers below.Thanks.
