Your post sums up my own position exactly.

I am five years into retirement, and last year got a new Trakkadu Campervan, and so far have financed our trips from our pension.

Looking forward to a reasonable return so that we can travel with less restrictions.

Any reasonable return would be good.

I first aimed at 1 million shares so that I would be a "Millionaire", when they hit a dollar!! .
What a Goose!!
I remember 25 or so years ago when as an Addiction Counsellor, when one of my Patients "Barry", said " I don't want to be a Millionaire, being just a "Thousandaire" will do me" .

Sadder, but wiser with lower and more realistic expectations now.
