@tanUp these shares were issued subject to performance. If Directors meet a target they set, those shares would be there bonus (reward) for meeting targets, and the company rewards them with the perfirmance shares. If they don't meet thst performance target, the the shares are forfeited back to the company, that is the case with the 5.75 million shares in question.
What this means simply is that the target the directors set fir those binus shares has not been met by the due date, hence the shares are returned to the company.
The announcements re: this are just paperwork trail returning the shares that were set aside back to the company and the number of shares on issued altered to reflect there cancellation.
That is how it was explained to me by my accountant, but I would suggest you DYOR to be sure.
