In the open forum Gino mentioned the challenges of having to get the diamond rig… now they work with a couple of suppliers including one which one of the suppliers is getting built. so one diamond is at Askari’s mines for a large portion of the time. Also, I asked if this unlike the Pilbara where mines are adjoining so the contractors could work for multiple companies one after another whereas in Namibia the mines were spread apart, Gino said the rigs had to travel like 400-500 kms between mines. So these are logistical issues despite planning ahead.
