I do have a question about what products will first be coming out of the KMP.
The release states;
"Australian Strategic Materials has commenced hot commissioning on its neodymium furnace. This included firing up the plant’s furnaces, processing feed material and casting the plant’s first ingots of neodymium metal."
and
"Australian Strategic Materials is moving closer to producing commercial quantities of titanium and permanent magnet alloy, as part of our strategy to provide an alternative, secure supply chain for critical metals."
I expected titanium to be in the initial product mix with feedstock coming from as yet unnamed sources. But where are they getting the Nd oxides if that's in the early product mix for the NdFeB magnet allow mentioned? Long term from Dubbo I know, taking all the Dubbo Nd oxide. But that's a couple of years away so from whom in the interim?
Just curious. All will be revealed in due course I am sure.
