Took a quick look over the Iluka website and plans for their Eneabba REE refinery (link below) and their broader titanium oxide products. Repeat, a very quick look so I may well have got things wrong below! DYOR

Eneabba | Iluka resourcesInterested in views on whether ASM and Iluka could/should be looking at partnering on a KMP style metals plant here in Aus?

    • Iluka at Eneabba is looking to produce TREO concentrates in Phase 2 and then onto (separated?) REE oxides in Phase 3 it seems
    • Their refinery is also looking to use feedstock from other WA miners so acting as a hub of sorts
    • Iluka also produces titanium oxides
    • ASM and the KMP technology sits downsteam of the above and can value add convert these oxides into metals and metal alloys (NdFeB and TiCu)
    • A Dubbo Metals Plant (DMP) may not be feasible with just Dubbo REE feedstock (and Dubbo has no Ti)
    • But add the Eneabba REE and Ti oxides to the mix and maybe it would have critical mass?
    • Maybe it does not have to be at Dubbo (given much of the Dubbo NdPr was destined for the KMP)
    • Are there other Au oxide feedstock options to underpin a DMP or maybe an AMP? (Australia Metals Plant)
