Just to add some further merit to this expension into the USA .
Its also worth remembering , that the EU shares the same URGENT CONCERNS that their Critical Metals demands and short supply , can't be left behind and will be pressing equally as hard as the USA to offer supportive grants .
So opportunities mounting on multiple fronts ...and will put further pressure on the Korean Govt , that they don't have a monoply on partnership arrangements !
A read of this recent summary is helpful :

Note the Edit below , from this Publication !
Not sure where ASM stand with the "examination "of this , but its bound to be under consideration . once again noting this extract from the Quarterly:
Significant government policy pronouncements were made during the Quarter, including the Australian
government’s Critical Minerals Strategy, the Australia-United States Climate, Critical Minerals and Clean
Energy Transformation Compact, as well as state investment funds announced by the French and German

governments, worth up to EUR2 billion each. As a result, ASM has seen continued interest and increased
enquiries from Tier 1 manufacturers and businesses from across the electric vehicle supply chain in these
    jurisdictions.
In addition to these opportunities, during the Quarter ASM participated in the Australian government trade
delegation to Japan and the German trade delegation to Australia.
The Company continues to focus on delivering offtake agreements and executing strategic investment
opportunities to support the development of the Dubbo Project. The Company is targeting to have key offtake
agreements in place by the end of the second half of this year and the market will be updated when binding
    agreements are concluded.

    In particular :
Edit from Norton Rose Fulbright publication

So far this year, the EU-New Zealand trade agreement was adopted, eliminating export restrictions on energy and raw material goods by prohibiting export monopolies and unjustified governmental intervention. In addition, the recent EU-Chile agreement aims at strengthening economic security and deepening investment by granting greater access to raw materials including lithium, copper, and hydrogen.

While negotiations relating to a free trade agreement between the EU and Australia were put on hold in July, they are expected to resume in August.

The EU is also negotiating with the US administration over possible changes to the IRA. In October 2022, the US-EU Task Force on the IRA was launched to support these negotiations. On June 14, 2023, the EU adopted its negotiating directives for a Critical Minerals Agreement with the US.
