Oily, Im looking at the volumes--and the price strength and im a bit amazed that the SP has held up so well. Given that the largest piece of the SPP pie, is for institutions, its unlikely that they are pumping and dumping. A large number of shares were strongly bid for and purchased AFTER the SPP cut off date, so that they would be unlikely to get the number of retail buyers to sell their holdings IF they did decide to sell down post SPP cut off. I am applying for the max given the relatively small allocation to us peasants. Im fully expecting a massive cut back, but if I get my full allocation, i will be selling a few, but only for balancing purposes. Bear in mind, we also get the 5c dividend for the SPP shares, so that makes the net cost $2.85. The new shares (SPP) only consisted of 12% of the capitalisation, so if you wanted to be pessimistic, and apply the dilution factor, you could argue that the current SP could retrace 12%...? but i think unlikely ! Im amazed at the SP increase and strength POST the SPP cut off date and dont quite know what to make of it ! What are others thoughts?
