I'm going to suggest probably not. It seems to me that the new assay method doesn't work very well for gold. That's the only explanation that seems to correspond to the evidence. Obviously the new assay method works well for the gold standards, otherwise it wouldn't have passed QAQC. The standards must therefore be from a different type of mineralisation.
