Cross Section Omega North – Drill Hole SHDD017 – Section A
SHDD017 met its primary objective and was extended beyond its metallurgical target depth to test
the projected lateral continuity of historic intercepts of mineralisation (Figure 2), located in the footwall
of the current deposit, that are currently not included in the Sorby Hills Resource outlines.
The results received confirm the presence of mineralisation with the hole intersecting a wide zone of
low-grade hydrothermal vein and breccia type mineralisation consisting of galena-sphalerite-calcite
vein fill which differs and does not appear to be related in style to stratiform, galena-dominated
breccia-hosted mineralisation (ASX release 22 October 2020).
The drill hole intersected a “geological” envelope of mineralisation of about 40m at 1.4% Pb and 10
g/t Ag mineralisation, which includes:
• an upper interval (target) of 5m at 1.70% Pb and 13 g/t Ag from 82m; and
• a lower zone (new) of 13m at 2.87% Pb and 16 g/t Ag from 101m.
This is a very significant finding as the mineralisation is located below the current design pit and it
has confirmed the veracity of sporadic, historic deeper drilling which intercepted mineralisation not
incorporated into the current Mineral Resource Estimate. The new results will allow the design and
targeting of a new zone of mineralisation. Once the data is integrated within the existing data base
an assessment of the significance will be conducted and a specific drilling program will be designed.
The inferred structural-hydrothermal setting suggests a specific geometry to this zone which will have
to be determined and may be the reason why this was not followed up historically.
