St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) is continuing to extend the high-grade sulphide mineralisation along a +400 metres strike of the Stricklands Prospect at the Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia.
The high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide mineralisation at Stricklands commences from a shallow depth of about 40 metres and is open to the west, north and east.

Highlight intersections from the recent drilling include:
• 9.75 metres at 3.46% nickel, 1.76% copper, 0.16% cobalt and 2.26 g/t total PGEs (platinum group elements) from 43.8 metres; and
• 3.16 metres at 3.41% nickel, 1.21% copper, 0.15% cobalt and 3.3 g/t total PGEs from 66.18 metres.
There is also potential for additional mineralisation at depth with most drill holes completed within 120 metres of surface.

St George executive chairman John Prineas said: “We are very pleased to see laboratory assays confirming the thick intersections of high-grade nickel-copper sulphides at Stricklands from the recently completed drill program.
“The last round of drilling at Stricklands has identified a sizable extension to the mineralised ultramafic, with new high-grade intersections in the west, north and east of the prospect area.”
Follow-up drill program planned
Assays are pending for further drill holes recently completed at Mt Alexander which intersected massive nickel-copper sulphides.
Prineas added “The most exciting aspect is that there is potential for further extensions of the mineralisation with large areas of Stricklands remaining untested.
“A follow-up drill program is now being designed.”
